Snowball mic volume too low2/15/2023 I read somewhere that it’s better to record in OBS at around -10db and then use the editing software to bump it up which would help it not to sound so distorted at the higher volume levels. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong, but I was recording with the slider at close to full volume in OBS and then using the gain/volume filter in Shotcut to increase it until it sounded distorted then brought it down just under that level so it’s basically the loudest I can get it without it sounding distorted, but as soon as it gets uploaded it sounds quite a bit quieter on YouTube, even at max volume. I record videos using SLOBS then edit them in Shotcut, after exporting the final product the volume sounds OK when I play the video in Windows, however when it’s uploaded to YouTube it sounds quite a bit lower. I’m having a problem finding a way to make the audio on my YouTube videos loud enough without distorting it.
